In December 2006, through a successful buying process of the assets, rights and contracts, the Empresa de Energia de Bogotá acquired the controlling majority of shares of the state gas transport company Ecogas and created the Transportadora de Gas Internacional, TGI S.A. ESP, betting on consolidating the strategic energy expansion of gas has an economic, ecological and future orientated fuel of mass consumption.
