It is an old oil pipeline converted to a gas pipeline between 1999 and mid-year 2000 on the stretch from El Porvenir – La Belleza and the stretch Cusiana-El Porvenir in the first half of 2003. This pipeline is located in the departments of Casanare, Boyacá and Santander, going through the municipalities of Tauramena, Monterrey, Sabanalarga, Paez, Miraflores, Zetaquirá, Ramiriquí, Jenesano, Boyacá, Ventaquemada, Samacá, Sáchica, Villa de Leiva, Santa Sofia, Moniquirá , Puente National, Albania, Jesus Maria, Florian and La Belleza. It has a total length of 222.98 km. and the pipeline is 20 inches in diameter.

The current capacity of the pipeline is 150 MMSCFD. Today it is the main center for the provision of gas to the country's capital, Bogotá, and the branches to the departments of Boyacá and Santander.
