Why is this important?

(103-1)

Excellence and efficiency in infrastructure development are key for our company because they allow the growth and expansion of the business, in addition to supporting operational continuity and responding to market needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Structuring, planning, and executing projects allows us to develop the infrastructure that the country requires for the transport of low-emission hydrocarbons with world-class standards in efficiency, reliability, integrity, and sustainability. We do this with a vision of the future and a proactive management of the environmental and social environment, in order to transform the territories where we operate.

  • Dos operarios cada uno a un lado de una tubería gruesa

At TGI, we develop the infrastructure that Colombia requires for the transport of low-emission hydrocarbons with world-class standards in efficiency, reliability, integrity and sustainability.

  • Piezas de tuberías en una vía destapada

At TGI, we develop the infrastructure that Colombia requires for the transport of low-emission hydrocarbons with world-class standards in efficiency, reliability, integrity and sustainability.

How do we manage it?

(103-2)
In 2020, we consolidated the Project Maturity and Value Creation Model (MMCV), which allows us to make documented decisions under a methodology aligned with good practices and high international standards.

The purpose of the Infrastructure Project Management is institutional growth, maintenance, and improvement of infrastructure in line with our strategic plan and the Maturity and Value Creation Model (MMCV) established by GEB. All this to manage the growth of the company and increase revenues and the expected promise of value for customers and investors.

We mature and manage the company's projects in a joint effort between the Project and Assurance managements, as well as other support areas, which allows us to ensure internal processes and business expansion, within the framework of our good practices of Corporate governance.

Furthermore, all of our projects are adjusted to the Corporate Strategic Plan and, therefore, its monitoring is part of the decisions to consolidate and expand the business and ensure our ability to respond to market prospects.

This follow-up consists of systematic meetings and periodic reports to primary committees, Project Management, Assurance Management, and Construction Vice Presidency. Likewise, the corresponding instances of the Corporate Governance and the internal and external audits of the Integrated Management System, with the corporate indicators defined for the follow-up and monitoring of the execution and fulfillment of the projects.

What we achieved in 2020

(103-3)

In 2020, we were awarded two colciencias awards for the investigations on the behavior of emissions and sound proofing of gas compression stations.

Cusiana Phase IV Project

  • We built the works and put into operation, in December, the Puente Guillermo-La Belleza 11.5-kilometer-long loop with a 30 inch diameter, thus increasing the capacity of the National Transportation System by 10 MPCD.

  • We advanced in the works of the Porvenir-Miraflores loop. In the first semester of 2021, we will make its mechanical completion to complete works and begin the closing and transfer of the project.

Branching Replacement Project

  • We started the operation of the planned branching: Industrial Zone-Cantagallo (January 2020), Cantagallo-San Pablo (March 2020) and Galán-Yondó (August 2020).

  • We completed three new exit points to connect to the National Transportation System, thus providing supply to large shippers.

Works for Taxes Project

  • We built an aqueduct and sewerage network to supply drinking water for more than 300 homes in the municipality of La Paz, Cesar.

Safe Infrastructure

  • We develop special measures and protections in confined spaces and work at height, in order to reduce risks associated with Occupational Health and Safety.

Project Reactivation Plan with the Covid-19 pandemic

  • Faced with the pandemic, in March we suspended the projects that were in the execution phase of the MMCV. Starting in the second quarter, we designed and implemented a Reactivation Plan that included four strategies: environment analysis, process adjustment, implementation of Covid protocols and optimization of resources. This way, we achieved the implementation of 100% of the plan and, therefore, the general reactivation of the projects.

  • The reactivation of the Cusiana Phase IV, New Infrastructure Cogua and Branching Replacement construction projects allowed to continue generating an average of 900 jobs, between direct and indirect personnel, in addition to other services associated with the territories in the areas of influence.

  • We carry out the documentary and on-site review of the projects and the implementation of 100% of the Covid protocols as mitigation measure given the “new normal” on the work fronts.

Processes

  • We met 120% the IFI AT indicator in the management of Occupational Health and Safety of project contractors: in 2020 there were no recordable OSHA300 accidents.

  • We are 120% compliant with the 2020 project execution indicator.

  • We are 101% compliant with the 2020 project execution Capex.

  • We standardized 100% of technical standards, with their approval in TGI's Integrated Management System.

  • We optimized 100% of the Infrastructure Project Management process.

  • We achieved 94% compliance with the execution of the 2020 Annual Procurement and Contracting Plan.

Challenges for 2021

For 2021 we have a great challenge: present the best offer in the public call of the upme to be selected and begin with the execution of the pacific regasification infrastructure project.

  • Plan and manage the materialization of the UPME Natural Gas Supply Plan projects, where we are directly involved: Yumbo-Mariquita bidirectionality, Mariquita-Gualanday infrastructure expansion and Jamundí branch infrastructure expansion.

  • Undertake the execution of the replacement projects of the sub-river crossings prioritized by the operation.

  • Execute 100% of the Improvement Plan and Implementation of the Maturity and Value Creation Model.

  • Implement phase II of the initiatives identified for possible expansion of TGI's infrastructure.

  • In the long term, develop infrastructure projects that involve the use of renewable, innovative, and sustainable energies that contribute to Colombia's energy transition.
